Capitaine Train now offers optional seat reservations for Deutsche Bahn tickets
As of today Capitaine Train customers may additionally book seat reservations for tickets of Deutsche Bahn.
This is particularly important for travellers from abroad who often wish to be reassured that they get a seat on the trains they’ve booked.
Making a reservation couldn’t be simpler.
Just check the box in the "Options" section when buying your ticket.
To find out for which trains reservations are available, simply click on the question mark next to "Reservation".
Regional trains such as RE/RB and S-Bahn trains only offer free placement. On international trains a reservation is often mandatory and thus in most cases already included in the ticket price.
The seat and coach are displayed right after you made your payment.
Reservations for each journey with Deutsche Bahn are for a maximum of two trains. So if you want to reserve more than two trains in a single journey, an additional charge of 4.00 EUR is applied for each additional two trains.
This charge is unfortunately not refundable!
Since seat reservations aren’t always available, the booking process won’t complete should it be impossible to reserve a seat for your desired train.
Our goal is to implement preferred seating areas such as window and aisle, the DB train zones "quiet" and "telephone" and, of course, the available different train compartments in the future.
